We are seeking a Qualified Phlebotomist / Lab Technician for a contract opportunity within a healthcare laboratory setting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with blood collection experience who is committed to supporting quality patient care and laboratory operations.

The successful candidate will work with individuals receiving mental health, rehabilitative, and supportive care services while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.

Contract Length: 3 to 6 Months Minimum (Extension Possible Based on Performance)

Shift Information

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours

Approximate Weekly Hours: 30 Hours

Pay Rate: $37.20 - $43.40 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection procedures
• Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Follow laboratory protocols and quality control standards
• Support patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
• Work effectively with individuals receiving mental health and rehabilitation services
• Adhere to all applicable healthcare, safety, and infection control regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by laboratory leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of blood draw/phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and specimen collection accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience working in healthcare, laboratory, or patient care environments preferred

Training & Compliance Requirements

• Must be available for two non-consecutive training days from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Additional training may be completed during the regular work schedule
• All required licenses, certifications, and registrations must remain active throughout the assignment
• Employment is contingent upon completion of all facility clearance requirements

Additional Information

• Overtime is not permitted unless specifically approved by the facility
• Contract extensions may be available based on performance and departmental needs
• Background screening, immunization review, facility orientation, and training requirements must be successfully completed prior to start
• COVID-related clearance requirements may apply
• Start date is dependent upon successful completion of all onboarding and compliance requirements
