Lab Technician

Job Opportunity: Ravenna, Ohio

Our client is looking for a Lab Technician to join their team. Our client is an industry leader in the production of fluid system components, metal finishing processing, and verification testing.

The Lab Technician will be responsible for testing assemblies and equipment within the lab to make sure client needs are met.



Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Use basic statistical process and control procedures.

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Installs valves and test specimens in test equipment and connects accessories and power sources.
- Working with calibrated equipment, Pressure Transducers, DAQ system, Flowmeters, and temperature sensors.
- Operates test equipment to gather data on performance of parts and assemblies under simulated operational conditions.
- Performs test in accordance with the test procedure.
- Use troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with equipment.
- Understanding fluid and air setups.
- Maintain and monitor test equipment as necessary to assure continued accuracy.
- Record test results
- Reads and interprets blueprints, Test Procedures, and other work instructions.
- Confers with customer personnel regarding test procedures and test results
