The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,000-$113,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

The Laboratory Technology Solutions Manager is responsible for defining and advancing solution strategy, platform modernization, and workflow optimization across laboratory technology platforms that support global veterinary diagnostics operations.

This role operates at the intersection of laboratory operations, enterprise systems, workflow digitization, interoperability, analytics, and operational scalability. The individual partners closely with laboratory operations, medical leadership, engineering, quality, enterprise architecture, and dedicated integration teams to ensure laboratory technology solutions are scalable, compliant, user-focused, and aligned with long-term business strategy.

The role extends beyond traditional LIMS/LIS ownership and encompasses the broader laboratory technology ecosystem, including workflow applications, digital pathology platforms, automation capabilities, interoperability standards, analytics solutions, and customer-facing laboratory technologies. The position owns solution direction, prioritization, requirements, and value realization while partnering with dedicated integration and engineering teams for technical design, interface delivery, and deployment.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a multi-year strategy for laboratory technology modernization, ensuring capabilities can be reused, extended, and configured across laboratories, diagnostic areas, and business units.
• Develop and maintain quarterly solution roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, operational priorities, and broader digital transformation initiatives.
• Establish priorities, requirements, and success criteria for laboratory technology initiatives based on user needs, operational value, risk, scalability, and strategic alignment.
• Identify opportunities to build shared services, APIs, workflow engines, reusable data models, and configurable workflow components that reduce redundancy and improve scalability.
• Partner closely with Medical, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Enterprise Architecture, and laboratory stakeholders to ensure technology capabilities meet medical, operational, regulatory, and business needs.
• Act as a bridge between laboratory end users and technical teams, translating laboratory workflows and business requirements into actionable, scalable technology solutions.
• Guide solutions through ideation, prioritization, launch, expansion, optimization, and retirement, including software modules, workflow applications, automation capabilities, analytics solutions, and laboratory technology platforms.
• Define requirements for configurable workflows, instrument connectivity, results reporting, workflow automation, terminology standardization, and data quality controls.
• Represent laboratory users and business priorities in governance forums, steering committees, roadmap discussions, and platform prioritization activities.
• Continuously gather feedback from laboratory users, operational leaders, medical stakeholders, and business partners to improve solution usability, adoption, and performance.
• Define and track key performance indicators, including throughput, turnaround time, workflow efficiency, system reliability, solution adoption, and operational performance.
• Leverage SQL, Power BI, and other analytics tools to validate solution performance, inform enhancement priorities, identify opportunities, and support return-on-investment justification.
• Ensure laboratory technology solutions support applicable global quality, regulatory, security, privacy, validation, and data-integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams to embed compliance requirements, traceability, and control expectations into technology capabilities and workflows.
• Collaborate closely with the Lab Software Integration Lead and dedicated engineering teams responsible for interface delivery, interoperability implementation, and technical deployment, while maintaining ownership of business requirements, solution priorities, and acceptance criteria.
• Support enterprise terminology and interoperability initiatives, including HL7, FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED, and related healthcare and laboratory data standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational inefficiencies through workflow digitization, automation, process standardization, and technology-enabled simplification.
• Support initiatives focused on reducing technical debt, improving platform scalability, and enabling reusable enterprise capabilities.
• Maintain audit-ready workflows, operational traceability, and enterprise data-quality standards in partnership with technical, quality, and operational teams.
• Develop and support business cases for platform enhancements, modernization initiatives, and next-generation laboratory technology investments.
• Build strong partnerships across engineering, laboratory operations, medical leadership, quality, regulatory, analytics, and enterprise architecture teams.
• Operate as an independent senior technology solutions leader capable of driving complex initiatives, influencing stakeholders, resolving competing priorities, and scaling enterprise capabilities across a complex diagnostics environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Technology, Laboratory Science, Laboratory Operations, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in laboratory technology, diagnostics, laboratory operations, healthcare technology, or a related environment, including responsibility for complex technology solutions or platforms.
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and the operational needs of biotechnology, diagnostics, healthcare technology, or laboratory environments.
• Familiarity with interoperability and healthcare terminology standards, including HL7, FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED, and related data-exchange frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve delivery, consistency, operational efficiency, and business impact.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to translate operational workflows and business needs into scalable technology capabilities and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced technical, scientific, or business degree preferred.
• Experience working directly with laboratory technology platforms, digital pathology systems, workflow applications, instrument connectivity, or laboratory automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns, platform design principles, integration concepts, and reusable workflow components.
• Experience with LIMS/LIS and other laboratory systems.
• Experience working within regulated laboratory environments and partnering with Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, operational analytics, and workflow-performance reporting.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps, prioritizing investments, managing solution lifecycles, and supporting business cases for modernization initiatives.
