Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based labor and delivery nursing care to obstetric patients on-site.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret findings, and escalate concerns promptly.
Document accurately in electronic health records; ensure compliance with standards.
Meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based achievement metrics.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant delivery unit adhering to policies.
Perform obstetric procedures within scope (e.g., labor support, epidural coordination).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans.
Demonstrate a growth mindset through ongoing learning and professional development.
Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care across teams.
Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
Mentor junior staff and share best practices to improve unit performance.
Experience/Qualifications
Active RN license in California with obstetric/neonatal care endorsement.
Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
ACLS certification with ability to coordinate epidural and obstetric procedures.
Ability to monitor maternal/fetal status and escalate promptly.
Proficient use of electronic health record systems for accurate documentation.
Strong patient and family education skills on labor, birth, and postnatal care.
Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and care planning.
Ability to mentor junior staff and lead shift handoffs effectively.
Demonstrated growth mindset with ongoing professional development.
Evidence of performance target achievement and pipeline-based planning.
