     Labor & Employment Associate (Hybrid)

    About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-regarded law firm in the Los Angeles area to place a talented Labor & Employment Associate.     About the Role As a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group, you will collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on a wide range of employment matters, both transactional and litigation-based, representing employers across various industries.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Handle a variety of labor and employment matters including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour claims
    • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and separation agreements
    • Conduct legal research and analysis on evolving employment laws and regulations
    • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and hearings
    • Assist with litigation including pleadings, discovery, motions, and depositions
    • Provide day-to-day employment counsel to employer clients
    • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless workflow
    • Stay current on changes in California and federal employment law

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of labor & employment experience at a law firm
    • Active California Bar admission required
    • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal research platforms
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
    • Must be able to pass a background check
