Labor & Employment Associate

Experience Level

• 3-5 years preferred; open to candidates with up to 10 years of experience
• Strong civil litigation backgrounds considered
• Must have recent defense-side experience

Responsibilities

• Employment defense
• Complex single-plaintiff matters involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
• General counseling
• Opportunity to work with public entities: schools, universities, cities, nonprofits (95% public entity defense)
• Seeking someone collaborative, reliable, and defense-oriented
• Strong writing skills, good judgment, and ability to manage their own caseload (motions, depos, trial prep)
• Training provided on billing practices
• Close mentorship and support from a senior employment attorney (Ash)
• Encouraged to develop business

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $150K$200K depending on experience
• Bonus: Additional compensation for business development/originations when settled
