Labor & Employment Attorney

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a strong Labor & Employment practice, is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with 5+ years of experience advising employers in both union and non-union environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys being a trusted advisor to management while also handling sophisticated labor and employment matters.

This role offers a balanced practice that combines strategic counseling, labor support, and employment litigation, working closely with clients to navigate complex workplace issues and mitigate risk. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, high-caliber work, and long-term investment in attorney development.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise employers on labor matters, including collective bargaining, labor relations issues, grievance handling, and arbitration

  • Counsel management on employment law compliance, policies, and procedures across the full employment lifecycle

  • Handle employment litigation and administrative charges involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, accessibility, and restrictive covenant matters

  • Represent employers before administrative agencies and in court

  • Support clients through workplace investigations, reductions in force, disciplinary actions, and terminations

  • Provide practical, business-focused guidance to help clients manage risk and maintain productive workplace relationships

What the Firm Is Looking For

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials

  • 5+ years of labor and employment experience, including meaningful exposure to labor relations and advice-and-counseling work

  • Experience handling litigation defense and administrative proceedings

  • Background with discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and related employment matters

  • Licensed in Colorado (or eligible to waive in)

  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Why This Role

  • Work with sophisticated employers across a broad range of industries

  • A well-rounded practice combining front-end counseling and litigation

  • Competitive compensation and resources consistent with a national law firm platform

  • A team-oriented environment where attorneys are trusted, supported, and given room to grow

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 – $270,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and other factors.
