Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a highly regarded law firm to hire an experienced Legal Secretary. This role is critical in supporting attorneys and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and format legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Handle state and federal court filings (electronic and manual), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain client files within the firm's document management system
  • Manage attorney calendars, including deadlines, hearings, and meetings
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with time entry, billing support, and expense reimbursements
  • Review vendor invoices and submit for payment
  • Provide backup and overflow support to attorneys and staff as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary (litigation required)
  • Experience with state and federal court filings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with document management systems (iManage or similar), docketing systems, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Best Authority, ALN Forms, and Aderant (or similar systems) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
