This role combines laboratory asset data management, service performance analysis, operational process improvement, and cost optimization to help the Client improve equipment reliability, maximize asset utilization, and achieve program financial and performance goals.

Serving as a key point of contact for laboratory asset data and reporting, the Specialist maintains accurate and standardized asset records, evaluates service and performance trends, and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The role requires the ability to translate asset and service data into actionable insights and collaborate with stakeholders to support effective decision-making.

The Specialist partners closely with the Client and internal teams, including Service Delivery, Service Operations, Program Management, Finance, and Customer Success, to maintain data integrity, improve service outcomes, and support the ongoing success of the Laboratory Asset Management Program.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze laboratory asset and service data to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, utilization, service efficiency, and overall program performance.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics related to laboratory assets, service delivery, downtime, repair rates, and cost of service.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), preparing monthly and quarterly reports to support program reviews and executive-level discussions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support the development, implementation, and validation of recommendations aligned with established Client financial and operational goals.
  • Support root cause analysis of equipment failures, recurring service issues, and performance gaps to help reduce downtime, improve reliability, and control costs.
  • Maintain data integrity across asset management systems and other program databases by identifying discrepancies, resolving data quality issues, and supporting established data governance standards.
  • Partner with the Client and internal stakeholders to understand laboratory operations, equipment needs, service requirements, and business objectives.
  • Support the evaluation and optimization of laboratory asset service models, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, resource utilization, and overall value.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized processes, reporting practices, and data management procedures across the program.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Service Delivery, Service Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, communicate findings, and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Program Manager and key Client stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, reporting requirements, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to OneSource initiatives focused on laboratory optimization, operational excellence, service innovation, and cost reduction.
  • Manage competing priorities and meet established customer deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Represent OneSource and the PerkinElmer portfolio of services professionally, supporting strong client relationships and continued business growth.
