Laboratory Assistant – Travel Assignment

Position: Laboratory Assistant

Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend rotation
• Schedule may vary based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure laboratory test requests are accurately ordered, canceled, and billed for inpatient, outpatient, and institutional accounts.
• Perform specimen collection procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Process, prepare, and distribute patient specimens for laboratory testing.
• Ensure proper specimen handling and adherence to laboratory protocols.
• Support laboratory operations by maintaining accurate records and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous laboratory assistant, phlebotomy, or specimen processing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted if residing within 50 miles of the facility.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
