Laboratory Technician

Westaff is Hiring: 2nd Shift Laboratory Technician-Lewiston, ME

$28/hour - 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Overnight Shift

Join a leading manufacturing client responsible for evaluating ingredients and finished products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. This role also performs quality audits, communicates results to production teams, and participates in problem-solving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field preferred
• Associate Degree (2-year) preferred
• 1-3 years of laboratory, quality control, or related experience required
• Experience in beverage, alcohol, or CPG manufacturing preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Test ingredients and finished products to ensure specifications are met
• Conduct quality audits and provide feedback to production teams
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Support U.S. TTB compliance requirements
• Participate in continuous improvement and root-cause analysis activities

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colors, flavors, tastes, and odors
• Work around fumes and airborne particles
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
