Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operations. 
  • Conduct analytical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products. 
  • Monitor laboratory instrumentation and perform calibration checks. 
  • Complete preventive maintenance and basic repairs on laboratory equipment. 
  • Record and interpret test results in laboratory databases. 
  • Communicate test results to internal teams. 
  • Maintain customer specification books and laboratory documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support laboratory trials and experiments under supervision. 
  • Read and follow safety procedures, operating instructions, and laboratory protocols. 
  • Prepare routine reports and maintain accurate records. 
  • Escalate complex technical or quality issues when necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience performing laboratory testing, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. 
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, calibration, and preventive maintenance. 
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and document test results accurately. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to read and understand safety procedures and technical documentation. 
  • Basic computer and data entry skills. 
     

Work Environment:

  • Food manufacturing laboratory environment. 
  • Hands-on testing of food products and raw materials. 
  • Collaboration with food safety, quality, and operations teams. 
  • Requires adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
