Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operations. 
  • Conduct product testing and analyze laboratory results. 
  • Monitor, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on lab equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot basic laboratory instrumentation issues. 
  • Document test results and maintain laboratory records. 
  • Maintain customer specification books and quality documentation. 
  • Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process, and finished products. 
  • Assist with laboratory trials and experiments. 
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. 
  • Communicate test results with internal teams. 
  • Prepare routine reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in laboratory testing, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar environment. 
  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments, calibration, and preventive maintenance. 
  • Ability to perform analytical testing and accurately document results. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and operating instructions. 
  • Comfortable working independently while escalating complex issues when needed. 
     

Work Environment:

  • Food manufacturing environment. 
  • Exposure to temperatures up to 110°F and dusty conditions. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods. 
  • Must be able to climb and crawl as required.
