About the Role

Were hiring a Laborer (DOT / Hazmat) to support paving and construction operations by operating DOT-regulated vehicles and performing a variety of hands-on labor tasks. This role combines CDL driving responsibilities with physical jobsite work to help keep projects running smoothly.

This is a full-time, seasonal position. Union membership is required within 60 days of employment.

What Youll Do

• Operate commercial motor vehicles, including water trucks and similar equipment, to support jobsite operations
• Transport water and liquid asphalt to job sites while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Assist with pre-seal, seal coating, milling, and general site preparation
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials
• Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment around the job site
• Work alongside Operators, Flaggers, and crew members to support project progress
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety protocols and properly use required PPE
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Report safety hazards or operational issues promptly
• Maintain regular in-person attendance
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Frequent standing, walking, and working on uneven terrain
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• Ability to safely navigate active construction sites
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends

What You Bring

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on labor
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
