Reporting to the Land & Environment Manager, you will create and maintain drawing files using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software for aggregate pits and ready-mix concrete plant sites across Colorado and Texas. You will also conduct drone flights to gather accurate data that supports site planning, operations, and decision-making.

  • Complete quantity takeoffs for operational, planning, and reporting purposes
  • Calculate stockpile and reservoir volumes using appropriate survey and mapping data
  • Support mine progression planning through drafting, mapping, and technical analysis
  • Coordinate site staking, utility locates, and exploration activities with internal teams and external partners
  • Stay current on technology, tools, and best practices in mapping, surveying, and modelling
  • Supervise and coordinate third-party surveyors and contractors as required
  • Support additional land and environment assignments as needed

What we would like from you

  • 1–5 years of relevant experience in drafting, civil design, construction materials, or a related technical field
  • A post-secondary technical diploma in GIS, geomatics, engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of survey techniques, field data collection, and related methodologies
  • Familiarity with GIS data and mapping tools such as Global Mapper
  • Experience in the aggregate industry or drone pilot experience is considered an asset
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to high-quality standards and pride in your work
