Land Survey - Crew Member

LAND SURVEY - CREW MEMBER (no experience required)

Abaci Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time Land Survey - Crew Member to join our team in Grimes, Iowa. We will train the right candidate alongside an experienced Land Survey Crew Chief to perform land survey and construction staking projects in the Des Moines metro and throughout Central Iowa.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Land Survey - Crew Member you will function as part of a field survey crew team on both construction and land survey projects. This will include assisting the Land Survey Crew Chief in operating survey equipment to accurately and efficiently collect field data, place wooden stakes on construction sites, place iron rods to indicate property boundaries and maintain equipment and vehicles. You must be willing to work outdoors and perform physical tasks while maintaining a professional, positive attitude. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED
• Mechanical/math aptitude
• Valid driver’s license and insured
• Prior land surveying experience preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to carry at least 40 pounds over various terrain
• Occasionally lift at least 80 pounds
