About the Role

This full-time, year-round position offers the opportunity to work on high-end residential and commercial landscapes in the Birmingham area. The role exists to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces, contributing to the organization's mission of connecting life and land.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve clients by mowing, blowing, weeding, edging, pruning, supplemental watering, mulching, shrub transplanting, and more.
• Maintain each property with precision and high attention to detail.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair landscape irrigation and lighting systems (training provided).

Minimum Requirements

• A couple of years of landscaping or construction experience.
• Teamwork, strong work ethic, and adaptability.
• High attention to detail.
• Creativity, curiosity, and confidence.
• Active listening and ability to follow instructions.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort operating equipment and tools such as mowers, weedeaters, stick edgers, and backpack blowers.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to carry 80 pounds.
• Ability to work stand-by in emergencies.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check, including motor vehicle reporting.

Physical Requirements

• Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work outdoors, including bending, stretching, and lifting in all weather conditions.

Work Environment

• Onsite work with a schedule starting at 6:30 AM and ending between 4:30 and 5:30 PM.
• Year-round work with steady hours through winter.
