Job Summary

We are seeking a Large Market Business Developer to join a leading consulting organization focused on health, wealth, and career solutions. This role is responsible for driving new business growth within large enterprise clients and developing long-term strategic relationships with senior decision-makers.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in benefits consulting, HR consulting, or large-market sales and a proven track record of winning high-value enterprise accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prospect a portfolio of 40–50 enterprise accounts (5,000+ employees or $2B+ revenue)
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for large, complex clients
  • Drive new business acquisition and close high-value accounts
  • Build relationships with C-suite and senior executives
  • Lead full sales cycle including prospecting, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Prepare compelling proposals and RFP responses
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver tailored client solutions
  • Expand revenue within existing and new enterprise accounts

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of successful sales experience in benefits consulting or related field
  • Strong track record of closing large enterprise accounts
  • Experience managing long and complex sales cycles
  • Proven ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders
  • Ability to clearly explain sales strategy, pipeline, and deal execution
  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales targets consistently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-market group health, retirement benefits, or HR consulting
  • Strong executive relationship-building skills
  • Active professional network in relevant industries
  • Experience participating in industry events or thought leadership activities
  • Life & Health License (preferred)
