Laser & Forming Technician 1
$22–$26/hr | 1st Shift
This role supports the production of high-quality tube and sheet metal components by operating advanced laser cutting, press brake, and forming equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Laser & Forming Technician 1 works with multiple machines and production processes while maintaining quality standards, following setup procedures, and adapting to changing production priorities. Success in this role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

What You’ll Do
- Operate Fiber Flat Laser and Tube Laser equipment
- Import and modify production files, nests, and DXF files as needed
- Load materials and verify correct setup using production documentation
- Monitor machine performance and inspect cut quality throughout production
- Track job numbers, part numbers, material certifications, and heat numbers
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic machine maintenance
- Operate Press Brake equipment to produce parts within required tolerances
- Load tooling, perform machine setup, and make programming adjustments when necessary
- Operate T-Pull equipment while monitoring quality and dimensional accuracy
- Deburr, polish, and inspect finished components
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
Education/Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Applicable Trade School education or manufacturing training, preferred
Experience:
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience operating CNC manufacturing equipment is beneficial
- Basic computer and technology skills including email, file management, CAD/CAM viewers, and machine controls
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
- Willingness to work overtime when production demands require.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This is an on-site, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the shift
- Lifting and moving materials up to 75 lbs (with assistance)
- Use of close, distance, and peripheral vision with strong attention to detail
- Exposure to typical grinding and polishing conditions (noise, dust, etc.)
- Required use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots
