Laser Operator

Hiring Opportunity: Gahanna, Ohio

Our client is seeking a Laser Operator to join their team in their job shop environment. Our client is a premier metal fabrication and precision machining company specializing in sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, copper fabrication, and electromechanical assembly.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and trouble shooting punches and lasers for precision custom fabrication.









Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining laser/punch machines.
- Setting up and programming laser/punch machines.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints for specific fabrication.
- Programming/modifying downloaded programs.
- Offload materials.
- Pulling and pushing metal products between 15-75 lbs regularly.

Required:
- 2+ years of punch and laser operation experience.
- Automation experience preferred.
- Punch experience preferred.
- Familiarity with nesting preferred.
- Knowledgeable/experience in changing lenses and conducting routine preventive laser maintenance.
- Programming/modifying downloaded programs.
- Proven ability to read and interpret prints/drawings to fabricate parts.
- Ability to identify various metals.
