Job Description

LASER | PUNCH OPERATOR: SECOND SHIFT
Temp to Perm: FULL TIME / SECOND SHIFT (MON THUR 3;15 P.M. 1:45 A.M. )
Training initially on 1 st Mon- Friday 7 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Period TBD after skill set assessed.
EXPERIENCED, SKILLED and DEPENDABLE
REQUIRED:
PUNCH and Laser Operation experience; Minimum of 2 years
Maintain and Trouble Shoot (preferred: Amada) PUNCHES + Lasers for Precision Custom fabrication
Physically able to manually offload materials; Pulling, pushing, grasping, metal products between 15-75 lbs. with regularly.
  • Automation experience preferred / but will train.
  • Punch experience preferred / but will train.
  • Familiarity with nesting desired.
  • Knowledgeable/experience in changing lenses and conducting routine preventive laser maintenance.
  • Programming / modifying downloaded programs.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret prints/drawings to fabricate parts.
  • Ability to identify metals such as cold rolled, galvaneel, stainless, aluminum, etc.
  • High attention to detail and safety.

    EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent
Formal Laser training preferred but not required / OTJ experience considered
Familiarity with ISO procedures /quality standards is beneficial.
Independence is necessary - as is the ability to work as a part of a team.
Standing, Sitting, Reaching, Bending, Stretching, Lifting to 75 lbs.
Pushing, Pulling, Fine tactical skills necessary.
Prefer candidates live in Columbus or surrounding areas.

Shift includes 2 paid 10 minute breaks and one 1D2 hour unpaid meal time. Full complement of benefits offered after 60 day full time qualification period is met.

Wage : Dependent upon experience and fit. Negotiable + commensurate with experience based on interview and test results. Reviewed-evaluated after meeting qualifications to transition into full time.
