Summary:
- Lead a landscaping crew while working alongside team members in the field.
- Oversee landscape maintenance and ensure work meets quality standards.
- Keep daily work on schedule and communicate progress or issues to management.
- Support a safe, professional, and productive jobsite.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist with mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, mulching, weeding, and site cleanup.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure work follows project specifications.
- Read work orders and community maps, and follow supervisor instructions.
- Train crew members in landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safe work practices.
- Maintain tools and equipment, track time and labor or material usage, and update management on job progress.
- Communicate professionally with clients and respond to concerns or escalate them as needed.
- Support seasonal snow removal, which may require morning or evening work any day of the week.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in landscape installation or grounds management; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Skilled in mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, mulching, weeding, and operating landscaping tools and equipment.
- Able to read basic plans and follow instructions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with reliable and punctual work habits.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Able to perform outdoor physical work in varied weather, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
- Small equipment experience, basic pesticide or fertilization knowledge, and English/Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
