seeking highly skilled Lead A&P Mechanic / Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief
candidates for one of its clients in San Antonio, Texas. Our client is a
recognized aviation, aerospace, airline, manufacturing, or MRO organization
supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, production, line
maintenance, and/or airworthiness operations.

Job
Overview: We are hiring a Lead A&P Mechanic /
Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief to oversee aircraft maintenance activities,
assign tasks to qualified mechanics and technicians, provide technical
guidance, and ensure maintenance is completed safely, properly, on schedule,
and in accordance with FAA, customer, and company requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate
daily work assignments according to aircraft schedule, manpower availability,
and work scope requirements.
- Train, assist,
and guide Mechanics and Technicians in proper maintenance procedures, safety
practices, and quality standards.
- Provide
technical assistance on aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and
modification tasks.
- Monitor
progress of assigned work and identify issues that may affect aircraft
schedule, quality, or airworthiness.
- Work with
customers, managers, inspection teams, and core team members to resolve
workflow and aircraft maintenance concerns.
- Ensure
maintenance entries, work orders, task cards, and required documentation are
properly completed.
- Maintain
safety, housekeeping, tool control, part tagging, and preservation practices
within the hangar and around aircraft.
Requirements:
- High School
Diploma or GED required.
- Valid FAA
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- Minimum 3
years of heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience required; prior
lead/crew chief experience preferred.
- Ability to
read and interpret blueprints, schematics, SRM, GMM, AMM, and other technical
data.
- Strong
leadership, task prioritization, problem-solving, communication, and
interpersonal skills.
- Ability to
work independently, under pressure, and with all organizational levels.
- Ability to
work overtime and variable schedules as required.
- Must be able to
move around aircraft, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. as
required.
