Lead Archery Instructor

Position OverviewInstill proper knowledge, skills, and attitude with participants. Provide high quality instruction, direct leadership, and mentorship in all archery venues.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversite, guidance, and management in archery venues to their highest and best useInstructs and coaches guests in a classroom or range environment100% accountability of all equipment at all timesEnsures team maintains all equipmentControls movement of small teams to provide programs and complete range tasksEnsures range safety procedures are followedModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+Required: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor (training provided)Required: 1+ year leading teams, prefer 1+ year Summit EmploymentPreferred: Experience in competitive shooting or hunting, any disciplineWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
