Lead Architect Network Security

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Lead Architect Network Security job in Orange, CT. This DIRECT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the energy and utilities industry. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the long-term enterprise Network Security architecture, standards, and roadmap as the senior-most technical resource. In order to be successful in this position, you must have eight plus years of progressively responsible enterprise Network Security experience leading the architecture and support of complex environments. Preference will be given to someone with experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point firewalls, Zscaler, and Akamai, along with related vendor certifications.

Lead Architect Network Security Job responsibilities:

• Own enterprise Network Security reference architectures, engineering standards, design patterns, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead design for firewalls, secure web gateways, WAFs, SD-WAN security, and network segmentation.
• Serve as the highest escalation point for complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, major incidents, and high-risk changes.
• Lead Network Security modernization, automation, lifecycle management, and technical debt reduction.
• Provide architecture governance and partner with Cybersecurity, Audit, and Compliance on risk and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineers, vendors, and contracted resources, and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and recovery documentation.

Qualifications:

• Eight plus years of enterprise Network Security experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Advanced hands-on troubleshooting and incident resolution experience
• Experience creating technology roadmaps, architecture standards, and modernization plans
• Experience with SD-WAN security, high-availability design, SIEM integration, and network automation preferred
• Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, or Zscaler certifications preferred

This direct hire Lead Architect Network Security job is based onsite in Orange, CT. The annual salary for this role ranges from $140,000 - $160,000.
