About the Role
The Lead Behavioral Support
Specialist (Lead BSS) is the on-site leader of EP365's behavioral support team
during adaptive sports and inclusive recreation sessions. You will serve as the
highest-level behavioral support presence at your assigned facility, providing
direct 1:1, 1:3, and 1:5 support to participants while leading and guiding BSS
staff during sessions.
This is not a sideline role. You
are in the session, with the participants, setting the tone for the team and
the quality of care our clients receive.
What You'll Do
• Serve as the behavioral
support site lead during assigned EP365 adaptive sports and recreation sessions
• Provide direct participant
support at 1:1, 1:3, and 1:5 ratios depending on program need
• Lead, model, and guide BSS
team members during sessions to ensure consistent, high-quality support
• Implement individualized
behavior support strategies aligned to each participant's ISP goals and IPP
• Monitor and document
participant behavior, engagement, and progress during and after sessions
• Ensure all EP365
programming standards are upheld — including water breaks every 15 minutes and
the protected 15-minute end-of-session documentation window
• Communicate any behavioral
incidents, concerns, or observations to the Director of Behavioral Supports in
a timely manner
• Maintain a safe, inclusive,
and encouraging environment for all participants
What We're Looking For
• Experience providing
behavioral support to individuals with IDD in a structured or recreational
setting
• Strong understanding of
behavior support strategies, ISP goals, and person-centered practices
• Comfortable working across
multiple adaptive sports and recreational programs — not limited to one sport
• Proven Leader 3+ Years who can
guide a team while staying hands-on with participants
• Reliable, punctual, and
organized — sessions start on time and documentation gets done
• DDS-trained or willingness
to complete DDS training prior to first session
• Active DOJ/FBI background
clearance required
• CPR/First Aid certification
(or willingness to obtain)
Why EP365
• Be part of a growing,
mission-driven nonprofit serving a community that deserves excellent care
• Work in dynamic, active
environments — adaptive sports, recreation, and movement-based programming
• Competitive contract rate:
$35 - $40/hour
• Flexible, part-time
schedule built around program sessions
• Leadership opportunity —
you are the site lead, not just a support staff member
• Make a real, visible impact
on the confidence, skills, and community of the people you serve
