Position Summary

Safe Harbor Home Care is seeking a compassionate,

dependable, and experienced Lead Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care

services while serving as a mentor and resource for our caregiving team. The

Lead Caregiver supports clients with activities of daily living, helps ensure

quality care standards are maintained, assists with caregiver training, and

serves as a liaison between caregivers, clients, and office staff.

Client Care

·        

Provide personal care assistance including

bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene support.

·        

Assist clients with mobility, transfers,

ambulation, and fall prevention.

·        

Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.

·        

Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other

household tasks.

·        

Provide transportation and accompaniment to

appointments, errands, and community activities.

·        

Offer companionship and emotional support to

clients.

Leadership & Team Support

·        

Serve as a role model for caregivers by

demonstrating best practices and company standards.

·        

Assist with onboarding and training of new

caregivers in the field.

·        

Provide coaching and support regarding client

care plans and service expectations.

·        

Assist with shift coverage during caregiver

call-outs or emergencies.

·        

Communicate client concerns and changes in

condition promptly to office staff.

Qualifications

·        

High school diploma or equivalent required.

·        

Minimum of two years of professional caregiving

experience preferred.

·        

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

·        

Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and

proof of insurance.

·        

Ability to pass background screening.

Safe Harbor Home Care is a San Diego based, locally operated company that provides in-home care services.
These personalized services include medication reminders, meal preparation, bathing or showering care assistance, light housekeeping and laundry, help with transfers or mobility, companionship and respite care, and help with errands and transportation.
