Overview:
As a Lead Cleaner at Velociti Services, you will help lead our evening cleaning team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at a client location. This is a hands-on role that combines daily cleaning responsibilities with coordinating assignments, supporting team members, and communicating with the supervisor or manager.
Schedule: Evening hours vary by location and may include 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., or other evening schedules. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties alongside the team, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
- Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and frequently touched areas.
- Help assign and coordinate daily cleaning tasks to ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Check completed work for quality and help address missed items.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on cleaning tasks, procedures, and safety practices.
- Communicate staffing concerns, supply needs, equipment issues, and customer requests to the supervisor or manager.
- Assist with training new team members on assigned duties and site procedures.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment and ensure they are stored properly.
- Assist with coverage during staffing shortages, as needed.
- Complete assigned checklists and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or a similar environment.
- Is comfortable guiding and supporting a team while performing hands-on cleaning work.
- Takes pride in delivering quality work and maintaining a clean environment.
- Demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills.
- Is dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Understands that safety is a top priority.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen. The drug screen includes testing for THC (marijuana), where permitted by applicable law.
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to:
- Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Lift, bend, squat, and stretch while performing job duties.
- Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times during a shift.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
