Qualifications
- 8-10+ years in cloud consulting or enterprise cloud roles, with at least 3 years focused specifically on FinOps or cloud cost management
- Demonstrated hands on technical depth in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), covering architecture, infrastructure as code, and cost and billing constructs, not just dashboards
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- FinOps Certified Professional required; FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent accepted as an interim credential
- Prior consulting experience, meaning client facing delivery and not internal only cost management
- Proven track record advising and presenting to executive level stakeholders
- Comfortable owning delivery from discovery through solution design, implementation, and realization reporting
Strongly Desired Skills
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Technical Depth
- FinOps tooling implementation: Cloudability, CloudHealth, native AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing
- Cloud cost allocation models: tagging strategy, showback and chargeback design, unit economics
- Reserved capacity and commitment based discount strategy across at least one hyperscaler
- Infrastructure as code and architecture refactoring to translate cost findings into technical remediation
- Cloud governance and landing zone design as it relates to cost control
- Working awareness of AI infrastructure cost management: GPU utilization, inference cost optimization, foundation model consumption economics
Multi Cloud Exposure
- Familiarity with FinOps practices across more than one hyperscaler
- Experience advising clients on multi cloud cost strategy or workload placement decisions
- Certifications on a secondary cloud platform are a plus
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- At least two active FinOps engagements are running under this role's direct delivery ownership with no quality gaps
- WWT's FinOps service offerings are sharper, more repeatable, and faster to scope, measurably reducing presales cycle time
- The frameworks, playbooks, and standards this role has built have made WWT's FinOps delivery more scalable, enabling the team to take on greater volume without sacrificing quality
- Client satisfaction scores on FinOps engagements reflect measurable improvement in delivery consistency and outcome achievement

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
