Job Description

Job SummaryProvides supervision and assumes responsibility for all laboratory operations.

What you will do

• Exercises direct supervision over and takes full responsibility for all lab work. This includes potable water, process water, and other related analyses required in the generating station, and preparation of reports regarding those analyses. Responsible for test analyses relating to environmental regulations.
• Performs tests and analyses relating to the maintenance and operation of an electric generating station. Assists in preparing reports, maintains records.
• Performs tests and analyses as required by environmental regulations. Assists in preparing reports, maintains records.
• Maintains laboratory facilities and supplies. Orders chemicals and reagents for lab testing and instrumentation.
• Maintains and repairs laboratory instrumentation, testing and analyzing equipment.
• Calibrates and maintains sample system and demineralizer system equipment.
• Performs other duties which are similar, related or incidental to this position.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma Required

Required Experience

• 3 years of varied laboratory experience within the power plant or a closely related field.
• Pass and maintain a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources small water system (OTM?NN) operator certification.
• Knowledge of sampling techniques and procedures for WDNR wastewater sample collection, custody, analysis and reporting.

Other Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
