Work Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 
Duration: Full Time
Education/Experience Required: Bachelors Degree in a technical field or related Technical Degree; 3+ years of experience in related field/industry

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Sales Support
  • Offer technical expertise and contribute to the leadership group
  • Delegate tasks effectively within the project team
  • Support the generation of change orders by estimating hardware costs and engineering efforts for project scope modifications
  • Nurture ongoing relationships with current clients
• Instrumentation & Electrical Design
  • Develop instrument lists by analyzing P&ID schematics
  • Assess and choose suitable instrumentation for the project
  • Select appropriate controls hardware for the project
  • Organize submittal documentation for control and instrument hardware
  • Design panel layouts and electrical schematics for control enclosures
  • Acquire project hardware
  • Provide technical assistance to panel fabrication staff
  • Inspect finished control enclosures
• System Design and Configuration
  • Facilitate customer design review sessions
  • Set up PLC and/or DCS control algorithms
  • Develop user interfaces and HMI screens
  • Perform internal functional and quality control tests
  • Create system documentation
  • Assist in customer demonstrations and approval testing
• Onsite System Startup
  • Install project software and configurations on site systems
  • Engage in point-to-point loop checks for all instrumentation
  • Conduct software calibration and tuning
  • Perform functional testing of all systems
  • Diagnose and resolve installation issues
  • Support additional customer testing
  • Implement field modifications as needed
  • Train customer personnel on system operations and maintenance

Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with control systems, including at least one of the following:
    • Rockwell: FactoryTalk Suite, RS Logix/Studio 5000, familiarity with PlantPAx DCS
    • Aveva System Platform
    • Inductive Ignition Perspective
    • Distech: Experience with BACnet and LON Distech controllers, Eclypse Controllers
  • Additional beneficial technologies:
    • Johnson Controls: Facility Explorer or Metasys controllers
    • Tridium: Niagara N4
    • SQL
    • Scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc.)
    • Familiarity with Kepware OPC server, ThinManager, VMware is preferred
