This role will advise AI product legal and privacy teams on privacy legal and regulatory issues, requiring the application of complex and evolving legal frameworks to a new and innovative space. It offers a great opportunity to work on novel issues in an exciting, deadline‑focused environment as we build and scale our global community.Base pay range$167,000.00/yr – $233,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesServe as a global privacy legal partner for Meta Superintelligence Labs initiativesManage frequent, time‑sensitive privacy legal escalations, and lead consensus building across legal partners globallyEnable generative AI product launches by providing practical legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictionsAssist with regulatory engagements, including inquiries and investigations related to AIMinimum QualificationsJ.D. degree or equivalentActive membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in‑house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including experience at a law firm and/or in‑house or government experienceExperience with product, privacy, or regulatory counseling related to global privacy and/or AI‑related laws, regulations, and industry guidelinesKnowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, privacy programs and industry guidelinesArticulate and analytical legal professional, who is diligent, proactive, collaborative, and has demonstrated sound legal and business judgment and strategic thinkingExperience working on multiple projects in a deadline‑focused environment, delivering practical advice under pressureExperience communicating legal advice to clients at varying levelsExperience taking on projects involving different subject matters, and working with cross‑functional organizations to drive alignmentPreferred QualificationsExperience managing regulatory inquiries and investigationsExperience working on AI‑powered productsPrior in‑house experience at a technology companyKnowledge of AI and Machine Learning technologiesAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
