Our client is a leader of Data and Computing Technology and they are looking to add a Lead DevOps Engineer to add to their team based in Ridgefield Park, NJ. If your expertise is leading DevOps, we want to hear from you!

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, Java full stack and android mobile app developer, you will be a part of operation team that handles new cloud project development, internal migration projects, enhancement of web application, establish DevOps environment, and deliver these to operation team. At least 9 years' experience building end-to-end enterprise application (J2EE must) and DevOps in cloud environment is required. Ability to speak Korean is preferred.

Responsibilities for Lead DevOps Engineer

• Responsible for leading our development team to design and development of web (frontend/back-end) and mobile app and functionalities to interface with other parts of internal & external systems
• Work closely with solution architects, service delivery team, and client stakeholders using cloud native architecture and microservice architecture
• Aids PM in requirement engineering to get the clear scope and milestones. (Feasibility Check)
• Provide POC for any possible and needed parts, components, modules of project development
• Work with cross-functional Agile teams to oversee technical solutions for our full stack of front-end, back-end and middleware platforms and technologies
• Host agile meeting with developer team and conduct reports (issue/concerns) on time if needed
• Adding APIs to backend when needed
• Patching bugs, writing end-to-end tests, refactoring and improving code quality, scalability, performance and security
• Doing DevOps: monitoring, fixing, and improving operational performance, improving development process
• Communicate effectively using your expertise, skills, and influence to help everyone on the team achieve even better results

Requirements for Lead DevOps Engineer

• 9+ years' experience building end-to-end enterprise application (J2EE must) and DevOps in cloud environment is required
• MUST have solid experience in automation using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipeline
• MUST have solid cloud migration experience in migrating monolithic applications to AWS or any other CSP. (Rehost, Platform, Refactor)
• Must have strong knowledge of Micro services, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Web services based on REST
• Must have Strong AWS Experience including AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodePipeline, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AWS CLI/Yaml/CloudFormation, Serverless Deployment
• Java based technologies with preferred knowledge in one or more of the following areas: J2EE, Android mobile app, Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, myBatis/Hibernate/JPA, JDBC, JSP/Servlet, Web Services
• Good experience in Java, Spring Boot, AWS Services such as SQS, SNS, Lambda, Fargate and PostgreSQL
• Associate+ level of AWS/Azure cloud certificate would be plus
• Possess strong experience in the design and development of full-stack web applications with an emphasis on Micro-Services architecture
• Experience managing internal and external teams at the same time, working with multiple brands and digital properties of varying maturities
• Demonstrated ability to partner and communicate effectively with non-technical team members, resolving competing or contradictory objectives, and unifying disparate ideas into a homogenized solution
• Strong oral and written communications skills with ability to create software design and engineering documents.
