  • Provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders on behavioral health trends, treatment approaches, quality initiatives, and emerging industry developments.
  • Represent clinical capabilities and behavioral health strategy in customer discussions, industry forums, and internal planning activities.

Support Strategic Client and Consultant Engagements

  • Partner with Sales and Account Management teams on complex client opportunities, finalist presentations, renewals, and consultant discussions.
  • Help employers and consultants understand behavioral health trends within their populations and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Communicate clinical value in a way that is meaningful to both healthcare and non-healthcare audiences.

Translate Data into Actionable Insights

  • Analyze behavioral health utilization patterns, access-to-care metrics, outcomes, quality indicators, and population health trends.
  • Convert complex clinical and operational data into clear recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling, data-driven narratives that demonstrate value, identify opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.

Partner with Clinical Operations and Network Teams

  • Collaborate with behavioral health clinical operations, care management, provider network, and quality teams to understand performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a bridge between frontline clinical teams and customer-facing organizations.
  • Support communication of network strategy, provider access initiatives, quality programs, and care delivery innovations.

Support Program Design and Clinical Quality Initiatives

  • Contribute to the design, enhancement, and implementation of behavioral health programs and solutions.
  • Partner with Product, Strategy, and Clinical leaders to align offerings with customer needs and market trends.
  • Help ensure clinical integrity, quality oversight, and evidence-based program development.

Assist with Clinical Escalations and Investigations

  • Support the resolution of complex client questions, escalations, and clinical inquiries.
  • Coordinate with operational and clinical teams to investigate concerns and communicate findings effectively.
  • Help maintain confidence and transparency during sensitive situations requiring clinical expertise.

Advance an Integrated Mental Well-Being Strategy

  • Develop and deliver compelling narratives that connect behavioral health, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Resources For Living (RFL), and broader workforce well-being solutions.
  • Help clients understand the value of an integrated approach to mental health, care navigation, work-life support, and employee well-being.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to create market-facing content, presentations, thought leadership, and educational materials.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in behavioral health, clinical consulting, healthcare strategy, care management, behavioral health operations, or related healthcare leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of behavioral health treatment models, care delivery systems, and clinical quality measures.
  • Experience interpreting healthcare data and presenting findings to executive audiences.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and consultative relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into business-oriented recommendations.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary teams in a highly matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed behavioral health clinician (e.g., Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, RN, or equivalent) or advanced clinical training. This is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting employer-sponsored behavioral health or workforce well-being programs.
  • Health plan, managed care, provider organization, consulting, or population health experience.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health outcomes reporting, quality measurement, network management, and utilization management.
  • Experience supporting sales, account management, product development, or client consulting functions.
  • Master's degree, clinical doctorate, or other advanced healthcare degree preferred.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clients and consultants view Aetna as a trusted behavioral health thought leader.
  • Sales and Account Management teams are better equipped to communicate clinical value and outcomes.
  • Behavioral health insights are effectively translated into actionable employer strategies.
