A leading global energy trading firm is looking to add an experienced Natural Gas Scheduler to its North American gas trading team. This individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day pipeline operations and supporting a highly active trading desk across the East Region. The position offers strong visibility to traders and the opportunity to step into a leadership capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute daily natural gas scheduling and nominations across major interstate and intrastate pipelines in the East Region
Monitor gas flows, manage imbalances, and proactively resolve scheduling issues in alignment with trading strategies
Act as the primary point of contact with pipelines and counterparties for flow coordination and operational communication
Provide traders with timely and accurate pipeline and market information to support decision making
Manage capacity releases, park and loan transactions, and other pipeline-related requests
Ensure compliance with FERC regulations, pipeline tariffs, and internal controls
Partner closely with accounting and settlements teams to reconcile volumes and allocations
Pipelines: TCO, TGP, Transco, TETCO, GSPL
Qualifications:
7+ years of natural gas scheduling experience, preferably focused on the East Region
Strong understanding of pipeline operations, gas logistics, and scheduling best practices
Experience working within a fast-paced, trading-oriented environment
Proficiency with pipeline EBBs and scheduling systems
Strong communication skills and ability to interface directly with traders and external counterparties
Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy, Economics, or a related field preferred
