Lead Residential Electrician

Location: Charleston, SC (Serving Charleston, Johns Island & James Island)

Compensation: $30–$36+ per hour, based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Residential Electrician to join our growing team in the Charleston, SC area. This position is ideal for a skilled electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong leadership skills, and enjoys working alongside a crew.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on residential electrical experience, the ability to lead and train crew members, and a commitment to completing projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of electricians and apprentices on residential projects.

• Perform residential electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades.

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and project specifications.

• Ensure all electrical work meets NEC requirements and local building codes.

• Delegate daily tasks and keep projects on schedule.

• Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.

• Communicate effectively with homeowners, team members, and management.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of residential electrical experience required.

• Previous experience leading or supervising an electrical crew required.

• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, wiring, panels, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Familiarity with NEC and local electrical codes.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to work independently while managing a team.
