Central MEP Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician for a commercial union project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a senior-level electrician who can lead crews, coordinate daily field activities, and ensure high-quality installations in a union construction environment.
You will work closely with the Foreman and Project Management team to maintain productivity, safety, and code compliance on site.
Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on commercial job sites
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems
Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, etc.)
Pull, terminate, and test wiring
Install panels, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
Ensure compliance with NEC codes, union agreements, and safety standards
Coordinate daily tasks to maintain project timelines
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
5–8 years of commercial electrical experience
Prior experience in a lead or senior electrician role required
Experience working on union job sites required
Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial installation methods
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Strong leadership and communication skills
Reliable transportation to Washington, DC
