A leading financial technology company is seeking a Lead Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise-grade applications using .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure. The role will focus on cloud migration, AI-assisted software development, automated testing, and cloud-native architecture.

- Work Schedule: Minimum 3 days/week onsite; remaining days remote
- Location Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in West Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using .NET, C#, and SQL Server.
- Architect and execute Azure migrations, including re-platforming and modernization of legacy applications.
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions using Azure services such as AKS, Cosmos DB, App Services, and Functions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar code assistants.
- Translate stakeholder discussions into technical specifications, application flows, interfaces, and architectures.
- Develop production-grade code and automated testing frameworks.
- Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD, and automated testing practices.
- Use API testing tools and intelligent testing frameworks to improve software quality.
- Work with large codebases and AI coding assistants to accelerate development and testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience with .NET and C# development.
- Strong experience with SQL Server and database design.
- Experience with Azure cloud migration and cloud-native application development.
- Experience using AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools.
- Strong experience with automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD.
- Experience working in Agile and AI-enhanced software development environments.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Other Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong software architecture and development skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently deliver production-grade code.
- Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
- Must currently reside in West Los Angeles, CA.
- Ability to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
Must-Haves
- 8+ years of .NET/C# development experience with enterprise-grade application development.
- Strong SQL Server and database design experience.
- Hands-on Azure migration and cloud-native development experience.
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools.
- Strong experience with automated testing, TDD, CI/CD, and Agile development.
Nice-to-Haves
- Microservices, containerization, and orchestration experience, particularly Kubernetes/AKS.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
- AI/ML experience or exposure to AI-driven software development.
- Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, or working with offshore teams.
- CNCF technologies and broader cloud-native architecture experience.
