The DAAA Lead Financial Data Analyst reports to the Chief Financial Officer and has director oversight of the DAAA Finance Billing Department.
The DAAA Lead Financial Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the Agency's financial strategy and operational efficiency. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, and accounting principles. The successful candidate will drive financial planning, analyze performance against key metrics, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making. Furthermore, this position is instrumental in ensuring fiscal responsibility, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the optimization of financial resources to achieve organizational objectives and foster sustainable growth.
Responsibilities • Research incorrect billing requests from Vendor Agencies and tracks occurrences • Prepare and submit claims data sets for processing / payment by MSA.• Review rejection / pending reports and follow-up for correction / resubmission of claims• Liaison to Care Management Department to address ineligible participants.• Liaison to MDCH to address ineligible participants and claims processing issues• Liaison to CIM for claims processing issues.• Oversight of Adjustment of rejected claims for resubmission / reclassification• Investigate errors, omissions and makes necessary adjustments/ reclassifications in the System.• Interpret data, analyze results to support and/or drive decision making. • Identify issues and trends through data analysis. • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.• Work with Finance Department leadership and team members to understand, set-up and run standard reports to support their individual functions. • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.• Prepare presentations for leadership. Builds new reports per requirements.• Modifies, maintains, and enhances existing and scheduled reports.• Responds to and provides fixes for report defects/deficiencies.• Responds to requests for ad hoc data sets.• Writes queries in support of ad hoc data requests, and to validate report data to requirements.• Develops appropriate graphical reports, including spreadsheets, charts, graphs and pixel-perfect reports to support internal and external customers.• Supports internal and external customers providing appropriate communication about deliverables through all phases of report development and deployment.• Other duties as needed to support the Business Intelligence and Reporting Architect or other Data Operations activities.• Conducts thorough follow-up and effective resolution and communication in response to other departmental inquiries and requests.• Works closely and collaboratively with other departments as needed.• Effective understanding of the organization's goals and objectives• Extract data from various systems to create electronic billings to Insurance Companies • Performs other duties, assignments and responsibilities as assigned or required.• Oher duties as assigned
