Who We Are

White Lodging is hiring a Lead Line Cook who delivers results and is ready to accelerate into a Sous Chef role. This position is designed for high-performing culinary professionals who want to drive kitchen outcomes, elevate team performance, and contribute directly to the success metrics of a fast-paced hotel operation.

As a Sous Chef-in-training, you'll contribute to daily production goals and support the team in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes. You'll play a central role in achieving our culinary goals across multiple outlets within one of the country's leading hospitality companies.

What You'll Achieve

  • Assume operational leadership by executing full BOH management responsibilities in the Sous Chef's absence and ensuring all production goals are met
  • Elevate team performance by coaching Entry Level Cooks, Line Cooks, apprentices, and stewards to meet daily output, quality, and timing expectations
  • Ensure compliance outcomes by upholding company F&B standards, health department regulations, and federal food safety requirements
  • Support financial performance by helping maintain food and labor cost targets and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Guarantee product excellence by verifying ingredient freshness, enforcing recipe accuracy, and maintaining consistent portioning across all stations
  • Strengthen guest satisfaction metrics by monitoring feedback trends and implementing actions that improve food quality and service consistency
  • Advance a high-performance culture by modeling professionalism, accountability, and collaboration across the kitchen team
  • Execute additional responsibilities that contribute to kitchen productivity and operational success

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to operate all commercial kitchen equipment and execute a wide range of culinary techniques at a high standard
  • Demonstrated success in sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast production
  • Experience leading or mentoring kitchen staff with measurable impact on team performance; prior lead or senior cook experience strongly preferred
  • Culinary degree, formal training, or apprenticeship preferred but not required
  • Ability to sustain high output and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

What You Can Look Forward To

  • DailyPay — access earnings when you need them
  • Advanced scheduling with flexible shift swapping
  • Unlimited employee referral bonuses
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) with rollover
  • Complimentary wellness tools
  • Leadership development & tuition reimbursement
  • Discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and travel
  • Career growth opportunities across multiple hotel properties
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Full-time associates also receive:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • Life and disability insurance
    • Paid parental leave
