Job Details:

Hours: Sat/Sun/Mon 6:00 am - 6:30 pm (guaranteed 40 hrs paid) Attendance incentive of $2.00 + $2.00 shift differential. Pay range: $24.35-$33.95 based on experience. SUMMARY: The 4th Shift Maintenance Leader will ensure that all 4th Shift assigned PMs and Work Orders are completed in a timely fashion and will report to the Maintenance Manager and Shift Supervisors via a daily pass down. The Leader will assist with departmental training and coaching of team members, perform daily inspections and audits, and ensure the 4th Shift Maintenance team members are performing in accordance to the departmental SOP's while maintaining company policies and values of safety, quality and efficiency.

EXTERNAL REQUIREMENT: MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS CUMULATIVE EXPERIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE OR AUTO MECHANICS. EDUCATION PROGRAM COMPLETION OR CERTIFICATION CAN BE USED IN PLACE OF EXPERIENCE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

Ensure all work orders assigned to the shift are assigned correctly and completed on time while tracking and assessing individual associates workload

Train all 4th Shift team members on the PM Program, Work Orders and Standard Operating Procedures

Communicate expectations for the 4th Shift Maintenance team members in regards to team work, attitude and work performance while continually assessing individual performance

Verify the Pre-Operational status of all equipment

Maintain and update Lock Out Tag Out program

Coordinate with Departmental Supervisors and Manager to plan all details for installations, rebuilds, and upgrades

Ensure all GMP's, HAACP, PSM Program, Company Policies and Safety Programs are followed at all times

Continually audit and validate all departmental procedures revising when necessary

Effectively cooperate and communicate with other department's Leaders and Managers

Obtain excellent working knowledge of all equipment and their components throughout the facility as well as all utility systems.

Monitor and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment in accordance with process safety management

Complete and maintain all required reports

Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven leadership abilities

Strong mechanical background required

Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools

Computer skills, MS Word, Excel Database, and e-mail

Trained in the Maintenance of CMMS

Excellent attention to detail, time management and organization skills

Highly motivated self-starter who is willing to implement new processes and ideas

Willingness to work overtime as required

Ability to be on your feet throughout the majority of the shift

Able to identify industry standard parts and assist in procuring parts as needed

Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively

Education and/or Experience:

A minimum of one year experience within the Maintenance Department of this facility preferred

Formal training program completion or certification can be used in exchange for the experience.

Physical Requirements / Environment:

Stand/Walk: Continuously (at least 8 hours a day)

Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs.), occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.)

Grasp: Frequently (3-4 hours a day)

Occasionally (1-3 hours a day); bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, push/pull

Continuously working around moving machinery, both inside and out with changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working on a ladder at unprotected heights, around and amongst food product

Physical Environment: Continuously - Working around moving machinery, working in a cold environment (28-34 degreesF).

Rehire Consideration: Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered. 90 days (3months) waiting period.
