    Description

    Description

KRUSH Tech is a new technology company building advanced hardware solutions for defense, aerospace, communications, and autonomous systems. We're launching our U.S. operations from the ground up — and this is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning and help shape the company from day one.

At KRUSH Tech, we combine the agility of a startup with the ambition to tackle some of the industry's most demanding engineering challenges. Our teams work across disciplines—including RF, embedded systems, electronics, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and supply chain—to transform innovative ideas into reliable, production-ready solutions. We are building a next-generation, vertically integrated aerospace organization focused on advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), autonomy, sensing technologies, and scalable manufacturing — for the U.S. market and strategic partners.

We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, development, and integration of mechanical systems supporting advanced UAS platforms. This role defines the mechanical architecture, establishes engineering standards and best practices, and leads multidisciplinary teams through product development from concept to production. Working closely with Electrical, Embedded Software, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Systems Engineering teams, you will ensure products are lightweight, reliable, manufacturable, and optimized for high-performance aerospace applications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the Mechanical Engineering team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and oversight across multiple development programs.
    • Own the mechanical architecture for advanced UAS platforms, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, weight, manufacturability, and cost objectives.
    • Drive mechanical product development from concept through prototype validation, design verification, and production release.
    • Establish and maintain engineering standards, design review processes, quality controls, and mechanical design best practices.
    • Lead complex engineering trade studies, technical risk assessments, and critical design decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure seamless product integration and production readiness.
    • Represent the Mechanical Engineering organization in executive reviews, customer engagements, supplier discussions, and cross-functional technical planning while supporting long-term technology roadmaps and continuous engineering improvement.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Delivery of production-ready mechanical systems that achieve performance, weight, reliability, and manufacturability objectives.
    • Successful execution of development programs from concept through production while managing technical risk and schedule.
    • High-quality mechanical designs with low defect rates, efficient manufacturing, and strong field reliability.
    • Continuous improvement of engineering standards, design processes, and product quality.
    • Development of a high-performing Mechanical Engineering team and a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with 6+ years of experience developing complex mechanical systems for aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or other high-reliability products.
    • Proven expertise in mechanical system architecture, structural design, materials selection, manufacturing processes, tolerance analysis, thermal management, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
    • Extensive experience with CAD, PDM/PLM systems, engineering analysis, product validation, and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and multidisciplinary integration involving electronics, embedded systems, manufacturing, and production.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, develop technical roadmaps, manage technical risk, and drive engineering excellence across multiple projects.

    Nice To Have

    • Experience developing mechanical systems for UAS, aerospace, defense, robotics, or autonomous platforms.
    • Experience with lightweight composite structures, precision mechanical assemblies, environmental qualification, and vibration or structural analysis.
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SolidWorks Simulation, SolidWorks Motion, PDM/PLM systems, Jira, and modern engineering collaboration tools.
    • Experience supporting prototype development, supplier qualification, and transition to high-volume manufacturing.
    Benefits
    • Health Care Plan
    • Retirement Plan
    • Paid Time Off
    • Family Leave
    • Free Food & Snacks
