Lead Multifamily Superintendent

A highly established General Contractor with a strong and growing multifamily construction pipeline is seeking an experienced Lead Multifamily Superintendent to take ownership of major projects and provide leadership across the field team. This is an opportunity for a seasoned construction professional who can independently lead complex multifamily projects, manage multiple trades, and drive projects from groundbreaking through completion.

Lead Superintendent Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for field operations on large-scale multifamily construction projects
• Lead and direct Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel
• Establish and maintain project schedules and hold subcontractors accountable to milestones
• Coordinate all major construction activities, sequencing, and trade flow
• Oversee quality control and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards
• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements
• Lead regular subcontractor and jobsite coordination meetings
• Proactively identify schedule, quality, and constructability issues and develop solutions
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and project milestones
• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior field staff
• Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports
• Oversee punch list, turnover, and project closeout
• Serve as a primary field representative for the company throughout the project

Lead Superintendent Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience
• Strong ground-up multifamily construction experience
• Proven ability to independently lead complex multifamily projects
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to maintain project schedules and drive accountability
• Strong understanding of construction safety and quality control
• Procore or other construction management software experience is a plus
• OSHA certification is a plus
