Lead Operator - 1st Shift

Role and Responsibilities:

• Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.

• Acts as a resource for problem solving and decision making
• Drive standard work adherence through rounds and audits
• Guide and direct work of other Rewind and Press Helper personnel
• Kitting (setting up work stations with necessary materials and equipment)
• Cover breaks
• Collaborate with Press Supervisors on scheduling for rewind/ finishing
• KAN BAN - ordering supplies following FIFO
• Order supplies as needed for peak packaging needs
• Act as a resource for Customer Service regarding Vision issues
• Vision functionality troubleshooting
• Directing finishing / rewind on priorities, evaluating changes in priorities
• Pharma audits
• Reviewing samples
• Double checks
• Packing
• Housekeeping · Attend all toolbox meetings, providing feedback as appropriate

Qualifications and Education Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills: · Must have knowledge of Flexo printing · Must be comfortable providing direction and guidance to fellow employees · Quality conscious and customer focused · Self-directed individual with outstanding decision making and problem solving skills · Above average comprehension, verbal and written communication skills · Interpersonal skills working within a team environment

Physical Demands: Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. May, on a continuous basis, stand for a long period of time and stoop, bend, and kneel frequently. May handle, feel and reach for items in and around press area and continuously grasp product from a conveyor for up to 12 hours (4 hours at a time due to breaks). Moderate to frequent walking and lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs (20 lbs repetitively) is required. Vision: close vision, distance and color vision to distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception as well as the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
