Summary:

We are seeking a Lead Payments Operations Consultant to drive strategic initiatives, implementation efforts, and business transformation activities supporting payment operations and enterprise programs. This role serves as a key partner to business leaders and stakeholders, helping translate strategic objectives into executable plans while ensuring successful implementation and operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business execution, strategic planning, and wire payment operations, combined with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership. This position is well-suited for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading initiatives that improve business processes and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily meetings socializing all defects with impacted partners.

• Document detailed meeting minutes in an executive summary

• Document and verify resolution of software and specification defects

• Provide guidance, lead, and prioritize testing activities for projects

• Understand and ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met

• Work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

• Work with teams to develop testing strategies and provide specific technical guidance on defects to developers

• Wire payment background and command of wire payment workflow

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• 4+ years of Systems Quality Assurance experience, or equivalent

• 4+ years of wire payment experience, including creating and processing wire transactions, with a strong understanding of wire workflows, industry-standard payment structures, and creditor/debtor requirements.

• Financial services industry experience (preferred)

• Excellent time management skills set

• Experience in a deadline driven environment

• End-to-end system testing, compliance, and governance, experience, including Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Quality assurance and control experience, including audits, process evaluations, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement

• Demonstrated experience in compliance, governance, and risk, including escalation processes

• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)

• Advanced operational programs, systems, and tools, skills such as: JIRA, and Octane (preferred)

• Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and data-driven decision-making

• Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver quality results in fast-paced environments

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities

• Experience leading across matrixed organizations and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives

• Strong influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to present complex information and key risks to senior leaders

• Experience leading organizational change, stakeholder alignment, and readiness activities to deliver measurable outcomes

• Process improvement expertise, including workflow analysis, optimization, and implementation of efficiency enhancements

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and operational excellence
