Position Overview
The Lead Physical Therapist serves as the senior clinician in the clinic, delivering high-quality outpatient physical therapy while supporting clinical excellence, staff development, and a positive team culture. This role blends direct patient care with mentorship and leadership responsibilities and offers long-term growth as the clinic expands.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and examinations
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based plans of care
- Provide outpatient orthopedic, balance, and functional rehabilitation
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Utilize modern rehabilitation technology, including VR platforms, when appropriate
- Complete accurate documentation in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
Leadership
- Serve as the lead clinician and clinical resource for the clinic
- Mentor and support Physical Therapists and clinical staff
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members
- Uphold high clinical standards and ethical practice
- Foster a collaborative, professional, and patient-centered clinic culture
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or MPT)
- Active Kentucky Physical Therapist license
- Minimum 3 years of outpatient physical therapy experience
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in leadership, mentorship, and clinic growth
