Job Summary
The Lead Porter is responsible for overseeing all porter operations across assigned properties and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, safety, and operational efficiency are consistently maintained. This role serves as the senior on-site leader for porter staff, providing direct supervision, coaching, scheduling, performance management, and emergency response coordination.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, excellent judgment, the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously, and the capability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Supervise, direct, and manage porter staff across assigned locations and shifts.
· Ensure all porter operations are completed efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with company and building standards.
· Lead, train, retrain, mentor, and evaluate porter personnel on performance, safety, appearance, and customer service expectations.
· Conduct regular site visits on all shifts, including weekends
· Maintain daily operational oversight and ensure proper staffing coverage for all assigned schedules.
· Drive accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout all assigned locations.
· Support upper management with operational reporting, staffing recommendations, performance evaluations, and workforce planning.
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
· Ensure all employees comply with company handbook policies, building procedures, safety regulations, and operational protocols.
· Maintain accurate documentation of all employee conversations, warnings, incidents, coaching sessions, and performance-related matters.
· Assist with coverage and operational duties alongside staff when necessary to maintain service levels.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Previous supervisory or management experience within porter, janitorial, facilities, maintenance, residential, commercial, or hospitality operations required.
· Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and employee management skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate professionally in English is mandatory.
· Bilingual skills are a plus.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, accountability, and sound judgment.
· Ability to manage high-pressure and emergency situations effectively.
· Comfortable using email, mobile devices, scheduling systems, and basic computer applications.
· Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage.
· Must be willing and able to travel between assigned sites as operationally required.

· Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, and move through multiple properties during shifts
