PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, develops, maintains and improves manufacturing process and procedures while supporting or leading production for Lead Attach, Trim & form and RHSD.
  • Designs, specifies and acquires fixtures, tools and equipment required to manufacturing process for Lead Attach, Trim & form and RHSD.
  • Drives manufacturing process improvements, production problem resolutions, and integrating solutions into a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Innovate, design, and implement robotic and automation machinery to support operational activity and increase production line capacity and quality.
  • Use Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to assess and mitigate risk for critical processes, process modules, and tools
  • Act as project leader and take responsibility for Engineering (Automation and Manufacturing) projects.
  • Develop and maintain automation equipment documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Technical experience in the development of processes and tools for products, manufacturing support, quality control, test equipment qualification and correlation, process, and gage capabilities. Proficient in six sigma and lean manufacturing methods.
  • Responsible for the development of automation, equipment, tools and systems for new projects, and equipment already in operation.
  • Introduce automated processes into production and train and equip Sustaining Team to support automated equipment after deployment into production.
  • Continuously monitor manufacturing processes to optimize production flow, improve assembly methods and product quality, and expand capacity.
  • Robotic systems experience.
  • Integration experience with vision system and touch sensing.
  • Familiar with industrial safety best practice for robotic systems.
  • Support existing production with all process equipment and automation.
  • Debug and optimize automated processes to maximize cycle time and uptime.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering (or Engineering Technology) field with 7-10 Years experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lead Attach and Trim & form manufacturing process.
  • Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing automation.
  • Understanding of machine design, simple electrical design, and common manufacturing practices.
  • Good knowledge across software, controls, robotics, mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Robot Hot Soldering Dip
  • Familiar with CAD and CAE software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of working among many disciplines.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
