We are looking for a Lead Server within our Culinary Department to provide 5-star service and create meaningful and lasting relationships with those who call Friendship Village home, our Residents! 

Essential Duties

• Lead and support dining room servers through meal service. Assign pre/post shift duties and ensure their accuracy.
• Make sure that servers are greeting tables in a timely manner, ringing in order properly, while they maintain a tidy section
• Greets residents and guests with a smile and answers pertinent questions about menu items.
• Supervise servers to ensure they provide consistently high levels of customer service for our residents and their guests, adapting to the needs and service level expectations associated with each dining location.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
• Exhibits acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Delegates and ensures all assigned cleaning tasks are completed by servers.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. 

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
