Lead Superintendent - Construction - Brooklyn
Our client is a leading New York City General Contractor specializing in ground-up multifamily, affordable housing, mixed-use, and luxury residential developments. With a strong pipeline of projects across the five boroughs, they are known for delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Job Description
As a Lead Superintendent - Construction - Brooklyn, you will be responsible for:
- Leading all field operations on large-scale ground-up residential developments
- Managing and mentoring Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field staff
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Driving project schedules and ensuring milestone completion
- Coordinating site logistics, workforce planning, and material deliveries
- Ensuring compliance with NYC DOB requirements, permits, and inspections
- Maintaining project safety and enforcing OSHA standards
- Managing quality control and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications
- Coordinating with Project Managers, architects, engineers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Reviewing construction schedules, work plans, and subcontractor activities
- Managing inspections, testing, and agency approvals
- Maintaining daily reports, project logs, and documentation
- Leading punch-list completion and project closeout activities

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Active NYC DOB Superintendent License
- 8+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing ground-up multifamily, affordable housing, or luxury multifamily developments
- Proven experience leading large-scale residential construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and field teams
- Strong knowledge of NYC DOB requirements and inspections
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Procore and construction management software
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
